The "Gunks" is a trad climbers dreamland. The Gunks has a lifetime to excellent trad climbing. I found the Gunks to be unique for its 5.3 trad roofs. I hope to go back soon and explore many of the routes I was unable to do.

New River Gorge is a really great road trip for anyone. Be sure not to miss Summersville Lake. Great trad and sport routes are everywhere.

"The Red" is an amazing place for a climber. I highly recommend it to climbers of all types. My only caution is to beware of the locals. The Red offers endless rows of different bluffs everywhere you look. The Red has excellent trad and sport climbing.

Sam's Throne provides a great selection of easy to moderate trad climbing with great protection. My only complaint is the lack of a town near by. The scenery was magnificent and the rock is the hardest sandstone you will find.

Veadawoo is a great climbing destination. A definite 5 star climbing area. You never realize how big the place is until you have been there a while. Many of the approaches are hard to navigate so be prepared.

Zion is a great climbing destination. Zion is definitely one of the most beautiful and unique places on earth. A definite 5 star climbing area. There are many great bigwalls for beginners and experts. Many of the approaches are hard but short, be prepared.
